Box Of Sunshine

IMAG0147

So remember when I moved all randomly and didn't post for forever? Well that was a really tough week. A REALLY tough week..... Anyway I just have to say how amazing my sister is. She quickly whipped up a "Box of Sunshine" for me and found a friend traveling to Rexburg that week to deliver it to me! It automatically made me feel so much better and helped bring me peace when all I felt like doing the moment before was pull out my own hair. I am so lucky to have the best Mom and sister that constantly let my know how much they love me even though we live so far away from one another!

In the box:

DSC03034

-Easter Candy
(there was a chocolate covered peep but I may have gobbled it up the second I saw it)
-Easter Cupcake liners
-Hand print of the cutest nephew on this planet
-Blank note book
-Paint swatch Easter decoration

DSC03038

How cool is this!? Lyndsey, my sister, cut egg shapes out of paint swatches and then sewed them together! I LOVE it! I know Easter is over but if you are in need of a cheap decoration for next year try this out! =)

Old Books

This last weekend I drove down to Utah to see family and I stayed at my Grandparents house. While I was there I discovered their extensive collection of old books. Most of them are books about plants and farming from the late forties and early fifties because that was when my Grandfather studied Agricultural Education at UCDavis. I love books from this era because they were manufactured the old school way before digital printing and machine assembly lines. Their typography is beautiful and all of the images in them were originally hand drawn.

I also took pictures of my grandparents when they were younger. I love these photos! (forgive the glair)

Jack Jack's Blessing

First of all I want to say how much I hate that Blogger's picture loader thing loads all of my pictures in the opposite order that I loaded them! Sorry my pictures are going to be in the wrong order this time cuz I really don't care today....

We did a quick (one day) trip to Utah for Jack's blessing 2 weeks ago.

The whole family (minus my brother Grant cuz hes in mexico)

My sister says Jack likes me a lot but I think she just says that to be nice. He did sleep well for me though!

The cute little family...

Baby Jack was exhausted from being the center of attention all day! This is also the best picture of his cute outfit my sister put together- She made the Bow tie!

Gotta LOVE the Chucks!

One eyed Jack! man this kid is cute!

And of course its not a complete Payzant party if you don't have lots of yummy food!

Welcome Home Jake!

Jesse's brother Jake just got back from his mission to Brazil! I can barely say his mission, let alone spell it, sorry. Welcome home!

Jack Jack Attack!

For any of you who don't know my only sister, Lyndsey, had my families first grand-baby this year! As you might have noticed from earlier posts- I LOVE being an aunt to my niece and nephew Journee and Kage, but for some reason I have LOVED this kid since I found out my sister was pregnant! I have made my sister send me pictures almost daily just so I can see him (He was born in Colorado and then my sister and her husband moved back to Utah). I finally got to meet him on our way back from CA!

He even likes me too! I think he is the cutest kid in the world but I might be biased =)

CA Trip!!

2 weeks ago we (jesse, myself, Jesse's mom Leslie and his brother Chance) went down to my parent's house in SoCal for a week. It was SO fun! not only did I get to spend some much needed time with my family but we got to enjoy some of the best things CA has to offer!

Like Six Flags Magic Mountain!

Waiting in line at Tautsu!

Waiting in line for the "Riddlers Revenge"- yeah we were SO bored!

We went to the BEACH!!! one of the days we went to Hunnington beach for the day. It was a little chilly but WAY fun! It was also Jesse's first time at/in the ocean!! yes I know.... We also ate dinner at RUBY's dinner (a 50's style dinner at the end of the pier there) WAY FUN!

We buried Chance in the Sand!

yeah.... this is what his body looked like afterwards....

Kage's Birthdays

ok ok I think my subconscious kicked in after my ranting earlier on how I'm not going to worry about blogging anymore... because I keep finding my camera when I want to take a picture and I keep having spare time to blog- 2 things that NEVER happen. lucky you!

Kage (my adorable nephew) turned THREE this past friday! To celebrate Jesse and I took Journee and Kage to the Zoo in Idaho Falls on thursday! It was SO fun! The Zoo was cute and small but I was impressed at some of the animals they had- 2 HUGE lions for instance. We got to pet and feed goats- which was my favorite part- Journee was honestly giggling her brains out and Kage couldn't figure out if he was afraid of them or if he liked them too. I did however forget my camera on this trip but I borrowed Rachel's camera so hopefully she will post some pix ;)

The next day we were back in Idaho Falls for Kage's family birthday party. He got a mountain of gifts- including a baseball tee, a bat, and wiffle balls- which I think was his favorite! Happy birthday Kage!

ok he doesn't look very excited in this picture but I think we did a good job on his gift this year! after the Zoo trip we let the kids play around in the gift shop and watch what Kage would play with- then Jesse took them out to the car while I bought this cool thing. its like a gun but the top is a head of an alligator and when you pull the trigger it opens and closes his mouth- WAY COOL! Kage seemed pretty happy with it.

Rachel is SO good at making birthday cakes! She makes these super cute creative ones every year for the kids and I am always so amazed!

Kage is OBSESSED with Football! so of course she had to make a football cake. SO cute!

My favorite buddy and I making goofy faces....
