Box Of Sunshine

So remember when I moved all randomly and didn't post for forever? Well that was a really tough week. A REALLY tough week..... Anyway I just have to say how amazing my sister is. She quickly whipped up a "Box of Sunshine" for me and found a friend traveling to Rexburg that week to deliver it to me! It automatically made me feel so much better and helped bring me peace when all I felt like doing the moment before was pull out my own hair. I am so lucky to have the best Mom and sister that constantly let my know how much they love me even though we live so far away from one another!

How cool is this!? Lyndsey, my sister, cut egg shapes out of paint swatches and then sewed them together! I LOVE it! I know Easter is over but if you are in need of a cheap decoration for next year try this out! =)

Look what my Mom sent me! Bright, yummy cookies just in time for easter. Don't you wish you could eat them with me?!

Easter Wine

So since I don't drink, my 21st birthday wasn't that big of a deal. But ever since I've been wanting to cook something that takes alcohol just so I could buy it! and I found out my friend Tani (whose birthday was at the end of march) felt the same way! so we decided to get together for Easter and make a big meal which included this Italian steak recipe that takes red wine! when we started cooking we realized we missed something- we forgot to buy a cork screw!!! so Jesse pulled out his tool case and tried everything to get it out. we eventually started carving out the cork. Then we got the smart idea to just push the cork down into the bottle- STUPID idea!! we also forgot that wine is slightly pressurized which caused red wine to squirt ALL OVER OUR KITCHEN!!! Jesse was pretty covered in it and just sat there dripping while I immediately started laughing! I don't think we will be attempting anything with alcohol anytime soon! =)
