Purse Into A Wallet

IMAG0122

I made this wallet from the great directions on Confessions of a Fabricaholic- HERE. For the outside of the wallet I decided to use the material of an old purse I had been holding onto.

First I had to reduce the purse down to "fabric." So to start I cut off the top and bottom.

Then I cut out the size of material I need out of it. I also cut out the magnetic snap and zipper in the purse and used them in the wallet too.

And I LIKE it!

My favorite part of the wallet is this cool vintage button I used on the closure.

It was a great purse- now its a great wallet!

Make a Knock-Off Wallet

Here is a lesson on never throwing stuff away! I have been needing a new wallet lately and came across an old Prada emblem I had been saving from an old knock-off purse I got in New York. The purse wore out fast but the emblem still had a lot of life in it I just never knew what to stick it on. Problem solved.

I bought a plain wallet with a simple emblem on it for 50 cents at a local thrift shop. Then carefully with an exacto knife cut out the emblem.

Then I bent the prongs and slipped it behind the material.

I applied liberal amounts of Krazy Glue behind the emblem to secure it

Ta Da!
