So Jesse and I decided not too long ago to finally buy a real couch. We decided to start saving and just looking to see what the price range would be. Well imagine our suprise as we walked into our local furniture store to find that they were having a big SALE! Now if any of you know my mother or my family you will know that we can't pass up a good deal. I was raised with the mentality that good deals are usually based on luck and that if a good deal presents itself you should jump at it! We visited the store 4 times in the 24 hour period, asked the salesmen question after question, researched like crazy on the internet, and we called every person we could think of who had a couch, had bought a couch or was THINKING of buying a new couch in the last 20 years. In the end we felt good about the purchase and decided to buy it! So much for taking our time!
We live in a sort of small, oddly shaped apartment and decided that we couldn't fit it in our front room, so we decided to turn our spare bedroom into our living room. The only problem with that is that we had been using that room for storage, and Jesse and I are a bit of pack-rats. So we spent all weekend cleaning and clearing out the room in preparation for the couch.
part way through cleaning
TA-DA!!!
(the big screen TV isn't ours- it belongs to one of my residents who had to leave for the break and asked us to baby sit it for him. we are starting to get attached to it though....)
