One of my amazing friends sent me this forever ago! So now I finally get to share. Alyssa Richardson is one of the coolest people I know! We got to be good friends at BYUI and now we are both in different parts of the country but trying to keep in contact. She sent this belated birthday gift this summer and I was speechless when I got it. So thoughtful and so Alyssa =)

Sewing Disaster

Working full time now I wont be posting as much as I used to but I truly am back in the saddle again! First off I want you to know that I hate blogs that are used to rant. I try really hard to keep it short and sweet and pretty here at Musings from Hel. But I'm afraid I have to break that rule today =(

I have spent my last couple of days off sewing and every single time it has been a disaster!! I am getting very frustrated. Because I am very frustrated I am finding it harder and harder to pick up the same project (for the millionth time) and finish it. I am pretty ADD when it comes to my projects and if they aren't working out I take it as a sign that it was never meant to be and move on. I mean- this is my hobby- if I'm not having fun, what is the point? I feel obligated to finish this one however so how do I push threw this one? Come on- I know you guys have some stories out there of projects that drove you crazy and never thought you'd finish. Mind sharing? Leave a comment

Broc & Charlie

Broc is one of my best guy friends. He is getting married to an amazing girl and I couldn't be happier for him! I just got their invitation in the mail and was super impressed! They didn't get them through a traditional printer either. Once again- a perfect example of how to create an original, more personalized, wow-factor invite on a small budget!

Exciting Changes

Yes, we have moved AGAIN! I'm happy to announce that we are now living in Idaho Falls, Idaho! We found a cute 50s-circa apartment down here and I am starting my new job for Verizon wireless next week! I can't tell you how happy I am. A new job, a cute apartment, an new (bigger) city- my dreams have come true! Sadly I have another excuse to neglect this blog. I'm unpacking this week and then at the end of the month Verizon is flying me down to Salt Lake City for FOUR WEEKS for training! I'll be back soon!

I LOVE Felt & Wire so I was tickled to death when I discovered their new DIY supply center! I especially like their "packs"- its like a magical goodie bag! My mind is going crazy with all the coolness I can whip up with this stuff!
